Visayaské souostroví 500 let po Ferdinandu Magellanovi
K pětistému výročí prvního obeplutí Zeměkoule (1521) jsem chtěl jet na Filipíny. Byly zavřené kvůli covidu. V roce 2022 se sice otevřely, ale cestovky chystaly zájezdy až od roku 2023. Tak jsem se rozhodl jet sám. Letenky na kiwi.com, hotely na booking, com a místní průvodkyně na pinalove.com.
Provoz kolem letišť bývá v těchto zemích šílený. Než abych čekal hodinu, až na mě přijde řada na taxík, vyrazil jsem do hotelu, vzdáleného asi tři kilometry, pěšky.
První tři dny jsme strávili na ostrově Siargao. Surfaři dobře znají pláž Cloud 9. Ikonická věž na konci mola byla zničená taifunem Odette 26.prosince 2021.
Recepční v hotelu se nikdy nezapomněla usmát.
